Strategies for Increasing Bystander Intervention
Project Lead: Dr. Megan K. McBride, CNA
Status: In Progress
Recognizing warning signs and reporting concerning behavior are key components of preventing targeted violence. This project focuses on evidence-based practices that aim to increase bystander intervention. Because research focused specifically on targeted violence is limited, we draw on evidence from bystander programs in targeted violence and related areas such as suicide and bullying. By examining program content and delivery approaches, this project identifies promising practices to inform the development and improvement of bystander intervention programs.
