Funding Overview

Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT) Funding Overview

DVERT I: The original COPS grant that DVERT received in 1996. ($199,646)

DVERT II: The first VAWGO (Violence Against Women Grants Office) grant that DVERT received at the beginning of 1997. ($515,278)

DVERT III: The second VAWGO grant that was received in August 1998. ($1,064,099)

DVERT IV: The third VAWO (Violence Against Women Office - formerly Violence Against Women Grants Office) grant that was received in October 1999. ($1,064,072)

DVERT V: The eighteen-month COPS Training Grant that was received in October 1999. ($490,000)

DVERT VI: National Institute of Justice) Research grant that Dr. Craig Uchida from 21st Century Solutions received to evaluate DVERT. ($75,000)

DVERT VII: NIJ Research grant that Dr. Pat Tjaden from the Center for Policy Research received to study Stalking in Serious Cases of Domestic Violence.($25,000)

DVERT VIII: This is the fourth VAWO grant that was received in November 2000. ($799,928)

DVERT IX: This is the fifth Office on Violence Against Women (OVW, formerly Violence Against Women Office) that was received in November of 2004. ($1,320,805 for 24-months)

V.A.L.E.: -Funding is requested each year from the Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement Board (V.A.L.E.).  We generally request approximately $35,000 and receive $10,000.  2004 was the first year in which the funding request was denied.
