The DVERT II project consists of a secondary analysis of information collected for victims in the DVERT program. Information was gathered from several sources to include: Case records from the District Attorney’s Office; Intake paperwork from the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence; Official Summons and Complaint forms used by law enforcement; and the DVERT referral form. Two comparison groups were used for this study. The first comparison group is a random sample of victims who visited the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence. The second comparison group is a random sample of female students from CU-Colorado Springs. This study compares and contrasts the DVERT cases with those of the comparison groups.
